# URL Shortener - WhatsApp

### It is possible to track the origin of leads using SprintHub's URL shortener. This feature has been expanded and is also available for WhatsApp links.

api.whatsapp.com is a service offered by WhatsApp that allows you to integrate and automate the platform's communication with other systems and applications, such as CRMs, sales systems, or customer service. It is part of the WhatsApp Business API, designed for companies that need to manage conversations at scale.

**To set it up, follow the steps below:**

1. Go to the **“URL Shorteners”**: By **“Find Services”**. Or simply type the name, and the function appears.\
   Click on **“+ New”** to start configuring your link.

2. **Configure and Save:**&#x20;

* **Enter a name:** Give it a descriptive name.
* **Alias:** Shortening of the entered name. It will be filled in automatically.
* **Original URL:** This will be the URL where the Lead will be redirected after clicking the shortener link. Fill in with:

```

The system already recognizes that this is a WhatsApp link, allowing you to continue with the setup.

* **Select the account:** The account to which the Lead will send the message.
* **Enter the initial message:** The default message that will be filled in the Lead's text box

3. **Metadata**

Metadata provides additional information about the URL.\
\
**Title:** Usually displayed in the browser tab and in search engine results, the title is a brief description of the page.

**Icon:** Small icon shown in the browser tab next to the title or in the address bar, also known as a favicon.

**Image:** The featured image is a specific image associated with the web page, used mainly when the content is shared on social media, in messages, or appears in search results.

**Author:** The author identification of the page can be included in the metadata, especially on sites with multiple contributors.

**Description:** A concise summary of the page content, usually displayed in search results and when sharing links.

**Keywords:** Terms or phrases that describe the page content and help improve its indexing in search engines.

Leave it as Published and click Save and Close.

After that, you will be able to copy the shortened link by clicking the corresponding button. In addition, it is also possible to generate a QR Code for the link.

When the lead clicks the shortened link, they will be redirected to your WhatsApp. The interaction will start automatically as soon as they send the previously configured message.
