How to Configure Wix DNS to integrate with Amazon SES

To use SprintHub's email sending service, which already operates with Amazon SES as its infrastructure, you will need to connect your domain by adding three DNS records in Wix. This configuration ensures that your emails are delivered securely and with authenticity.
SprintHub automatically generates the required records, making the process easier. Below, we explain each step.
Why are DNS records necessary?
DNS records ensure that mail servers recognize your sends as trustworthy, reducing the likelihood of your messages being marked as spam. They include:
DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail): Adds a digital signature to sent emails, proving their authenticity.
SPF (Sender Policy Framework): Authorizes the domain to send messages via Amazon SES.
Verification record: Confirms that you are the owner of the domain.
Step-by-step Configuration
1. Access the email settings in SprintHub
In SprintHub's admin panel:
Navigate to the Settings and click on Email.
Add a new domain.
SprintHub will display the three DNS records you need to add to your Wix provider.

2. Add the DNS records in Wix
Access the Wix admin panel and go to Settings > Domain Management.
Click the domain you want to configure and select Manage DNS.
Locate the Custom DNS Records and click on Add Record.

Add the records provided by SprintHub:
DKIM records:
Type: CNAME
Name: (provided by SprintHub, for example:
imi5hskrhfc4e6cey6qlphlggjqgml3._domainkey)Value: (provided by SprintHub, for example:
imi5hskrhfc4e6cey6qlphlggjqgml3.dkim.amazonses.com)
SPF and other records: Repeat the process to add the remaining records provided by SprintHub, ensuring that all CNAMEs are included.
Save the changes.
3. Wait for the records to propagate
DNS records can take up to 72 hours to propagate, although they are usually active within a few hours.
4. Test the configuration in SprintHub
After the records have propagated:
Return to the SprintHub panel.
In the email settings section, click on SMTP email send test.
The platform will confirm whether the records are configured correctly.
Conclusion
Connecting your domain in Wix to SprintHub is a straightforward process, as the platform automatically generates the records required for Amazon SES authentication. After configuring the records in Wix's DNS panel, you will be ready to send emails securely with a high delivery rate.
