# Deletion and bulk editing security (beta)

A **Verification Code Protection** adds an extra layer of security for operations considered sensitive on the platform.

When enabled, certain actions, such as **resource deletions** or **bulk edits**, require a verification code sent by email.

***

### 🔐 1. Enabling protection

When protection is enabled, the operations configured as sensitive will require a **verification code sent by email**.

The user who initiates the operation must receive and enter the code for the action to be completed.

### 👥 2. Replicating the configuration for users

You can select a list of users and apply the protection configuration to all of them at once.

#### How to do it

**1.** Select the **users you want to replicate**.

**2.** Apply the configuration to the selected users.

**3.** If you want to apply protection to all active users, use the option **Apply to all active users**.

### 🛡️ 3. Protected resources by code

In this section, you can define which resources will have protection enabled.

For each resource type, choose which operations should require the verification code:

* **Deletion:** requires a code to delete the resource.
* **Bulk edit:** requires a code to make bulk changes.

### 📧 4. How validation works

When a user performs a protected operation:

**1. Start the operation**\
The user performs a deletion or bulk edit that has protection enabled.

**2. Receive the code**\
A verification code will be sent by email to the configured user.

**3. Enter the code**\
The user must enter the code received.

**4. Complete the operation**\
After the code is correctly validated, the operation can be completed.

***

### ⚠️ Important

Code protection should be configured according to each resource's security needs.

It can be used to protect sensitive operations, such as **deletions and bulk edits**, preventing unauthorized or accidental changes or deletions.
