# Segments - Segment Filter - Lead creation date

Imagine that you want to segment leads created before a certain date, follow the step-by-step below:

1 - Go to Segments

2 - Click +New, add a Name, click the Filters tab

3 - Under New Filter, choose the option “Lead field value,” choose the option “Creation date,” and enter the desired date.

Save the configuration.
