The **number portability** allows the customer to transfer the responsibility of a landline or mobile phone from a traditional carrier (Vivo, Claro, TIM, Oi, etc.) to a VoIP provider (VoxImplant, among others). In SprintHub, we do not carry out the portability process — we act as the call endpoint, integrating VoIP so you can make and receive calls directly on the platform.

### Difference between Registration and Portability

| Aspect | Registration in SprintHub | Number Portability |
| --------------------- | ---------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------- |
| Purpose | Enable an existing number for use | Transfer control of the number |
| Responsible party | Customer (internal configuration in SprintHub) | Traditional carrier ↔ VoIP provider |
| Approximate timeframe | Immediate (after configuration) | 3 to 15 business days (via ANATEL) |
| Involved parties | Customer and SprintHub | Customer, current carrier and VoIP provider |

### Case 1: Registering the number in SprintHub

When the customer **already has** an active number with the VoIP provider and only wants to **register it** in SprintHub, follow these steps:

1. Access the **VoIP** module in SprintHub.
2. Verify if the **SIP Trunk** is configured on the platform.
3. Click **Add Number** and select **External VOIP**.
4. Enter the number (landline or mobile) and the authentication details provided by the VoIP.
5. Save: from then on, you will be able to make and receive calls using that extension.

### Case 2: Portability Process

If the customer wants to **migrate** the number from a traditional carrier to the VoIP provider, follow this flow:

1. **Confirmation with the carrier**
   * Contact the current carrier and ask if the number is **portable** (rented numbers may not be).
   * If the number is registered in the customer's name and is eligible, request clearance for portability.
2. **Verification with the VoIP provider**
   * Confirm with the provider (e.g., VoxImplant) if it **accepts portabilities** coming from the originating carrier.
3. **Start of the portability process**
   * With both parties aligned, the **carrier** and the **VoIP provider** will submit the portability request.
   * The official timeframe according to ANATEL is **3 to 15 business days** for completion.
4. **Finalization in SprintHub**
   * Once the portability is completed by the VoIP provider, return to the **VoIP** SprintHub module and register the number as described in **Case 1**, now already “dressed” by the new provider.

### Final Considerations

* SprintHub **integrates** your VoIP for calls, but **does not** directly manage portabilities.
* Ensure that the number is **regularized** and authorized by the carrier before starting the request.
* After portability, treat the number in SprintHub as an **external VoIP extension**, following the standard registration flow.

With this clear and documented process, your company will have full flexibility to maintain contracts with traditional carriers or migrate to VoIP solutions, always using SprintHub as the call center.
