### 1. Creating a Custom Field

Follow the steps below to create a custom field on the opportunity:

Go to Settings and click on Custom Fields.

Create a new field:

* In the example, we created a field called InvoiceAmount.
* Set the field type and the default value.

In the field settings, you can define whether:

* The field will be global.
* Filling it out will be mandatory.

### 2. Creating a New Opportunity

Select a Lead.

Define a title for the opportunity.

### 3. Adding the Custom Field to the Opportunity

Open the opportunity and click the gear icon.

Select Edit/Remove and follow the steps below:

* Add a section and define a name for it.
* Select the custom field created earlier.

Save the changes by clicking the gear again and then the check button.

### 4. Creating an Opportunity in Another Funnel and Another Stage

We created an automation to move the opportunity in the Sales Funnel, at Stage 2.

The opportunity will be transferred to the Support Funnel, at Support Stage 1.

When transferred, a new opportunity will be created automatically in the Support Funnel.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.sprinthub.com/en/topics/general/crm/crm-automations/crm-changing-value-with-opportunity-custom-field.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
