Creating a Custom Field

To begin, let's create a custom field on the opportunity. Follow the steps below:

  2. Go to CRM Preferences > Custom Fields.

  3. Click + New Field.

Fill in the following information:

  • Field name: Choose a representative name for the field.

  • Field type: Select from the available options: text, number, date, time, or date and time.

  • Default value (optional): Set a value that will be filled in automatically, if desired.

Additional settings:

  • Global: Check this option if you want the field to appear in all pipelines.

  • Visible in: If you prefer, select one or more specific pipelines where the field will be displayed.

  • Required: Enable this option if you want to make the field mandatory when creating or editing opportunities.

2. Adding the Custom Field to the Opportunity

With the field created, now let's add it to the opportunities screen:

  1. Go to Settings > Edit/Remove (within the Opportunities section).

  2. Click + Add Field.

  3. Select the custom field you created.

  4. Click Save.

Now, the field will be available to fill in on opportunities.

3. Accessing Reports

With the custom field already active, we can create a report filtering opportunities based on that field:

  1. Go to the Find Services bar > Analyze > Reports.

  2. Click + New to create a new report.

  3. Select: CRM > Created Opportunities.

4. Applying Filters

In the report, use the filters according to your needs:

  • Opportunity date: Choose from the options:

  • Creation date

  • Win date

  • Loss date

  • And the desired period

  • Opportunities with field:

  • Select the custom field created earlier.

  • Choose the desired value and period for the analysis.

Tip:

If you want a more detailed report, you can add more conditions to the filters, further refining the data you want to view.

Conclusion
